Colin Kaepernick’s decision to kneel during the national anthem in 2016 became a hot-button issue that’s still in the headlines. And while his protest of racial inequality drew criticism and enraged many, it inspired plenty of others.
Colin Kaepernick is getting an overwhelming amount of fan mail
The former 49ers quarterback has a ton of support behind him.

On Friday morning, Kaepernick posted photos on Instagram showing boxes of fan mail that he has recently received:
The former San Francisco 49ers quarterback has been a free agent for more than three months after opting out of his contract at the beginning of March. While he had a visit with the Seattle Seahawks last week, the trip didn’t end with a contract.
Kaepernick has stayed busy with charitable work during his time away from an NFL roster, with his total donations now totaling $700,000. In May, many fans gathered outside of the NFL’s New York headquarters to hold a rally in support of the quarterback.
Others have attempted to explain why Kaepernick hasn’t yet been signed, but the backlash that any franchise will get for signing him is almost definitely the reason he’s still on the market.
But if Kaepernick’s Instagram is any indication, the quarterback will also bring a lot of fans and support to his next team.
