The Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor fight is already a clash between titans — but now, it’s a scheduling clash between titans, too. The fight, already the most anticipated in recent memory, is scheduled for the same exact time and place as the OTHER biggest sports event in the near future: the championship game for Ice Cube’s BIG3 basketball league.
Mayweather vs. McGregor and Big-3 basketball championship are scheduled for the same place on the same day
Two incredible sporting events face off.

What are the odds?
Both events are scheduled for Aug. 26 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, which raises the question: Why do McGregor and Mayweather think that their little fight is more important than the PINNACLE of 3v3 basketball action?
Surely they knew that Aug. 26 was the date that we crown a new BIG3 champion — after all, everyone knew that! It just seems unlikely that the biggest MMA fighter and boxer in the world didn’t have the date of such a crucial sporting event memorized.
It was even posted on the actual arena!
However, this might work out well for BIG3 man-in-charge Ice Cube, who went on FS1’s Undisputed to offer up the venue ... for the right price.
“If they do what they’re supposed to do and make us happy, yeah we’ll move,” Cube said.
HOWEVER...
A better idea might be to have Mayweather and McGregor suit up, stretch out, and play some one-on-one basketball instead. That way, BIG3 fans get to see what they came for — slightly unimpressive, out-of-practice basketball being played, and Mayweather and McGregor get to see who’s better (at something, anyway).
It’s a win-win, baby.
