As a parent, you have to make a lot of choices. There are good ones, like encouraging your kid to be themselves. There are iffy ones, like letting your kid wear JNCO jeans in 2017.
This dad tried to catch a foul ball while holding his baby, and it was almost a disaster
The mom was NOT happy.
And then there are truly bad ones like this:
When ranking the important things in life, you should always put your baby above a foul ball — it’s just common sense. But that’s not what this Mets fan did during Thursday’s Mets-Dodgers game, as he reached for the free ball while his baby sat perilously in his other arm. For a second, it looked like the whole thing was gonna go wrong — that he might simultaneously drop the baby AND not catch the ball.
In the end, he ended up with both — but the baby’s mom was not happy. And who can blame her? She’s trying to enjoy a baseball game, trusting dad with the baby, and all of a sudden there’s a speeding object headed their way. And does the dad try to get out of the way? No! He heads toward the ball to catch it!
At least it all worked out, but it seems like it’ll be a long time before the whole family takes another trip to the ballpark.
