There’s no doubt the Nashville Predators fans brought their A-game on Saturday night, but that excitement turned into a tense moment as the final whistle sounded on Game 3.
Evgeni Malkin doesn’t appreciate Predators fans throwing towels at him
Everyone was stupid here.
As Predators fans celebrated a 5-1 win, a fan rolled video on Penguins players heading down the visiting team tunnel as Nashville fans pelted them with boos and cheers. Unfortunately, it looked like they also pelted them with rally towels and other junk.
Most Penguins players ignored it, but when one towel almost landed on Evgeni Malkin, he had a harsh reaction.
So two things here:
- Malkin obviously shouldn’t have reacted at all, and especially like that. That was dumb.
- Fans shouldn’t throw things at opposing players. That is also dumb.
