Tour de France rider slides forever on his butt after slipping on a wet road

It’s a rainy day for the Tour de France, which started on Saturday with the Stage 1 time trial. There are bound to be crashes during a cycling event, especially whenever weather comes into play, and unfortunately, Dylan Groenewegen of Lotto NL-Jumbo had the race’s first crash because of the rain.
You can see him toppling over during a turn, caused by a slippery part of the road, and his body and bike both hydroplaning toward the barrier. He managed to get back up and finish, although his time definitely wasn’t what he wanted.
Here’s hoping the weather gets better as the day continues.
