The boy, a year older, still has his birthday bat — and he walloped a homer with it, almost a year to the date he received it as a gift. Not only did he smack it out of the park, but it was caught by his dad who filmed the whole thing from behind the fence.
It’s impossible to calculate the odds of this happening, but the moment lives on, and gives us a chance to revisit that video from a year ago.
