Venice Beach in California was captivated on Wednesday as Conor McGregor strutted around the boardwalk, met with fans and took selfies. One problem: It wasn’t Conor McGregor. It was a 27-year-old lookalike from Kazakhstan named Islam Badurgov:

Credit where it’s due, Badurgov does bear a striking resemblance to McGregor — except the two aren’t close to the same size. Furthermore, you’d think someone would pick up on the fact that “Conor McGregor” barely spoke English, let alone did not have an Irish accent.
Still, people flocked to meet the alleged fighter, including this man who decided to turn his phone into a pineapple with glasses:
The full video is a little on the long side, but you can see just how many people got totally fooled that they were meeting THE Conor McGregor. It’s really quite impressive.
