Watch this UCLA volleyball player dunk like it’s nothing

One of the perks of being tall is that it makes volleyball easier. Another perk is that sometimes you can dunk. For 6’3 UCLA volleyball player Madeleine Gates ... both are true.

Just check out this awesome video of her slamming down a volleyball into the hoop — like another type of baller:

Now that’s a dunk.

And let’s be real ... there are probably a ton of volleyball players who can dunk. They’re all tall, athletic and can jump — literally the criteria for being able to slam one down. But it’s just cool to see someone like Madeleine show off her skills by taking to the basketball court. According to her UCLA bio page, she played high school basketball for two years, so she clearly knows her way around the game.

Now, of course, that’s a volleyball, not a basketball, but hey — you work with what you have.

So maybe Madeleine will have to become a two-sport athlete — spiking volleyballs by day and dunking basketballs by night. Can’t hurt to have options!
