Lacrosse remains the absolute king of sports when it comes to trick goals and people not paying attention. On Tuesday we got an incredible example of this, courtesy of a field-length goal, by a goalie.
Clever lacrosse goalie scores on zoned-out lacrosse goalie

It came in the closing seconds of the third quarter of the MLL game between the Atlanta Blaze and Denver Outlaws. Blaze goaltender Adam Ghitelman was caught completely unaware, assuming everyone would rather take a break and prepare for the fourth.
Then it happened ...
Poor guy is just holding his dang water bottle wondering what the heck happened. It’s like logging off early and then getting a critical email from your boss you need to take care of immediately. That sinking feeling where the ONE time you decided to slack off you got burned.
Ghitelman slammed down his water bottle in frustration — it’s all he could do in this moment. This is the spiritual successor to the college lacrosse goal from February when the ball was hidden so well that the goaltender never even saw it.
You’re awesome, lacrosse.
