One NBA rookie is confident enough in his game that he thinks he can beat Michael Jordan — and no, it isn’t Lonzo Ball. Hornets rookie Malik Monk was forced to miss the Summer League in Orlando with an ankle injury, and all that time watching got him thinking like LaVar Ball. Now he thinks he can beat the GOAT.
Hornets rookie Malik Monk becomes latest person to say he could beat Michael Jordan

Monk didn’t go quite as a far as others when claiming he could beat Jordan. After all, he is talking about his boss. The rookie told the Charlotte Observer that he’s talking about right now, in 2017, not in Jordan’s peak:
Monk showed his cocky side Saturday, repeating that he’d beat Hornets owner Michael Jordan in a game of one-on-one. Jordan might have been the greatest player of his generation – maybe ever – but, as Monk noted, he is 54.
“He’s pretty old right now,” Monk said of Jordan. “I think I can get him.”
Monk averaged 19.8 points per game for Kentucky last season, and the No. 11 overall pick is expected to bolster the Hornets backcourt and give the team another reliable three-point shooter behind Nic Batum.
At this point so many people have said they could beat Jordan, he should just step up and play all comers. Who wouldn’t watch that on TV?
