Any attention is good attention in LaVar Ball’s world, so he’s probably thrilled that he elevated to the status of being made fun of on Saturday Night Live. Kenan Thompson appeared on Weekend Update: Summer Edition to play the Ball family patriarch and did a pretty good job nailing his persona:

“LaVar” went a step further with his comments he could beat Michael Jordan with one arm tied behind his back by saying he would also wear a beekeeper suit and Hamburger Helper gloves, which is ridiculous — and also something LaVar Ball would absolutely say.
This quote was the real gem:
“I am 8’0 tall. I can jump 20’0 high. I once jumped over a Super Target. This past Thanksgiving, I ate 100 turkeys.”
He then gives host Colin Jost a pair of ZO2s as a gift, then immediately asks for payment in full. The whole sequence is very good and shows just how far LaVar has gone to turning himself into a household name.
Now we wait for the inevitable “I’m funnier than Bill Murray.”
