Raiders quarterback Derek Carr dropped the weirdest news on Tuesday and nobody seems to know what to make of it.
Derek Carr is releasing an album and this has to be a joke, right?

There’s no way this is real, right? It looks like the beginning of a Whitesnake music video, if people vaped when Whitesnake were popular and he’s wearing a denim jacket. That’s just the visual — because the music sounds like some disco mixed with EDM you’d here inside an Applebee’s when they became “Club Applebee’s” after midnight, circa 2012.
The website, DerekCarrMusic.com, only has the above video and the promise of a downloadable poster in the future. The whole thing has people wondering if Carr is joking, because like we’ve discussed — there’s no way this can be real.
It seems very likely this is a just a local ad featuring Carr, so we may be saved from the possibility of more awful music invading the world.
That said, part of me, albeit a small part, hopes this comes true and we can finally get the spiritual successor to Deion Sanders’ “Must Be The Money” that we’ve been waiting for.
If Derek Carr’s album DOES come out, at least it would be better than “David Carr music,” which would be the sound of a man getting sacked over and over and over and over and over and over again.
It turns out Carr was really only joking. But given all the reactions he’s gotten from the teaser video, maybe he should look into a musical career. He might already have a few fans.
