SB Nation: So you hit your mom with four foul balls? How?
Shane Evans: Haha nah wasn’t me specifically but for four consecutive games someone hit my mom with a foul ball as she was sat there in her lawn chair. Was pretty funny.
I was also the worst player on the team so getting in the newspaper was pretty cool.
SBN: Does she ever talk about it?
SE: Yeah we talk about it every now and then. She didn’t get hurt or anything but definitely moved her chair around every game but it didn’t matter.
SBN: This is amazing.
SE: We ended up winning the championship that year so it was just a pretty fun year of baseball. My first (and last) year playing.
