Colts give brave 10-year-old a once-in-a-lifetime moment at training camp

The biggest star of Colts training camp on Sunday was 10-year-old Michael Dieter, a brave boy who has undergone eight open heart surgeries in his young life. He knew he’d be meeting the players on his favorite team, but he didn’t know he’d be scoring a touchdown:

Andrew Luck greeted Michael before the team got in the huddle and then called his number. He’d be running the sweep, with Frank Gore as his lead blocker:

He got a hero’s reception after the touchdown. Players hoisted him into the air and cheered, while the crowd in attendance was into it to. Just an awesome moment all around. Bravo to the Colts for making this kid feel like a hero on the football field.
