The praying mantis stood on the railing and made fast friends with pitcher Luis Severino, who made a makeshift home for the rally mantis. It was a pretty sweet condo too. The cup had an open view of Citi Field, was baseball adjacent, and the game came with free snacks, courtesy of Severino, who made a small pile of sunflower seeds for the mantis.
It was good luck too! The Yankees beat the Rays, and Severino made a new friend.
