Jaguars pettiness, Vikings miracles, and endless Saints swearing take center stage on front pages

It’s Monday morning after one of the best days of playoff football in recent memory, which meant the headline wizards at America’s newspapers needed to immediately work on their best puns, catchy phrases, and jokes. Here’s what we got from Jacksonville, Pittsburgh, New Orleans, and Minnesota.

Jags fans have concentrated a decade of frustration into a chip which resides on their shoulders that’s as dense as a black hole. This includes the newspaper biz, which is relishing in the pettiness and mercilessly mocking of the Steelers, who presumed they’d be preparing to face the Patriots right now.

You earned this, Jacksonville. Enjoy it.

I like how in Pittsburgh they’re trying to make this disappear as quickly as possible. Sure it’s a big photo of Ben Roethlisberger going down, but “SACKED AT HOME” is in relatively tiny gray writing, trying to make this as easy to miss as possible.

Which is ABSOLUTELY not the case in New Orleans with ...

I mean ... what more is there to say?

In Minnesota there were a lot more words about the win, which fans are still trying to comprehend.
