After months of speculation, casting is now complete on Creed II with Romanian boxer Florian Munteanu securing the role of Ivan Drago’s son, according to Sylvester Stallone.
Boxer Florian Munteanu will play Ivan Drago’s son in ‘Creed II’
The casting is now official.

In December there was speculation that WWE superstar Brock Lesnar would fill the role, after Stallone seemingly teased him as Drago’s son in an Instagram post — which was later revealed to be inaccurate. However now Variety is confirming that the 27-year-old boxer will play the role opposite Michael B. Jordan, who will reprise his role as Adonis Creed.
Dolph Lundgren is also set to star in the film, once again playing Ivan Drago with Creed II presumably being a revenge story, with Adonis traveling to Russia to beat the son of the man who killed his father.
Creed was a mammoth box office success, taking in over $170 million in ticket sales with Stallone and Jordan getting award buzz for their roles in the film. Creed II is set to be released Nov. 21, 2018.
