I can’t stop watching Kevin Garnett’s hoodie defy gravity
You can watch it all you want, but it’s hardly ever going to fall.

One of the best additions to the NBA on TNT broadcasts has to be Kevin Garnett and his Area 21. It delivers a refreshing contrast from the TNT crew in Atlanta. But the show has raised a few questions.
For one, why does Kevin Garnett’s hoodie never fall off when it’s just hanging off the side of his head like that?
I just can’t stop watching Kevin Garnett’s hoodie every dang time. It’s supposed to fall at least a third of the time, but it never does! It’s a good look — it only covers a small portion of the back of his head — but it’s one that defies gravity.
Throughout this entire video, as Kevin Garnett looks back and forth at the basketball traveling to the basket, I can’t help but internally scream, “JUST FALL ALREADY, HOODIE.”
Some people have wondered if KG actually tapes his hoodie to his head. That could explain why it never falls. Just look at all that movement and yet, his hoodie doesn’t budge one bit. Nah. That seems like too much work for an outfit, even if it is one that’s being broadcasted to millions of people on a weekly basis.
Could it be the way he wears the hoodie? He wears the hoodie in a very strategic way. Typically, the right ear is exposed and the hoodie is nowhere near. The left ear is is the one that’s covered. Maybe that asymmetrical organization actually keeps it in place. The style of the hoodie also seems to play a role.
But there has been a case where the hoodie has fallen off!
It happens ever so slightly. But notice the way that he readjusts the hoodie. He goes back to the one-ear-covererd-one-ear-uncovered style. Also, there’s probably no tape.
No matter how Kevin Garnett’s hoodie stays, you have to respect it. It’s a work of art.
He wore a hoodie to Paul Pierce’s jersey retirement ceremony. Despite hanging on by just a little, the hoodie did not fall.
