A Pelicans fan saw his chance to become part of the team on Friday after wearing a full set of team gear to the game. During warm-ups against the Rockets, he left his courtside seat and began stretching next to the players — and nobody noticed at all.
The highlight comes when he finally gets passed a ball for a shot and utterly bricks it, at which time the cover is blown and people start to wonder who he is. Sure security escorted him off the court and he got a talking to, but he was thrilled with the experience anyway:
Now the real question remains: Who passed him the ball? Was it just a hapless ball boy who didn’t know any better, or did a player mistake this fan for a teammate?
