Tillman reportedly graduated from the FBI training academy, and will begin a two-year probationary period — which is standard for all new federal agents, according to the Chicago Tribune.
The former Bears superstar, and 2013 Walter Payton Man of the Year always had an interest in law enforcement. Tillman majored in criminal justice at the University of Louisiana-Lafayette before being drafted in the NFL. He also comes from a background of serving the country, with his father, Donald Tillman Jr. serving as a sergeant in the army.
Tillman has not confirmed his status with the FBI, and neither had the agency. Because we’re talking about the friggin-FBI here, and they’re not just going to tell people who their agents are. That said, it’s awesome to see him pursuing a passion after football.
Regarded as one of the toughest players at his position in the NFL, Tillman was also beloved for his approach to the game and relationship with teammates. Also, anyone who’s seen him play better think twice before committing a crime — because Peanut caught anything in his proximity while playing.
