Ole Miss’ Marcanvis Hymon was ejected in the first 3 minutes vs. Kentucky
That was fast.

Typically if you get a technical foul early in the game, it’s a definite sign to cool it just a bit or else you face an ejection when you draw the next technical. Ole Miss’ Marcanvis Hymon didn’t follow that script.
He picked up his second tech — and ultimately an ejection — in the first 3:24 of the first half. That has to be one of the quickest ejections in recent memory. Getting out of the game in such a short time is less puzzling than it is impressive. If you were looking at only the play-by-play, you’d think this was on purpose.
Maybe he just wanted to go home early and instead of fouling out, he realized the fastest solution to leaving the game would be to pick up two early techs. We all know that’s probably not true though. To be fair, Ole Miss was facing Kentucky at Rupp so just the setting alone can cause a little more anxiety than any other game. Let’s credit the early exit to some jitters.
