This baby robot at the Olympics just wants to be your friend and tell you the weather
What a time to be alive.

With the sheer amount of preparation and organization it takes to have the Olympics, it’s not surprising that robots are introduced to help out. But none of them are probably as adorable and helpful as this little buddy.
This robot is scuttling along just trying to project the weather report on the floor so that nearest person can get informed about their day. It’s so cute!
Is this baby bot more of a vacuum or more of a pet? I can’t quite figure this out yet. It’s almost as if my phone suddenly became sentient and started following me around with hopes that it would capture my attention. “Hey bud, have you seen the weather today? Check out these tweets! Do you wanna play Angry Birds on the floor?”
That would be adorable at first, but I can definitely see myself in this not-too distant future getting tired of it all. You know what, this is Amazon’s Alexa, with wheels. Alexa currently doesn’t sport that much mobility (but when it does, I want a cut of the money for throwing it out into the universe) but that sounds feasible.
Wait a minute — this is just a prehistoric version of an R2-D2! Can this bot have the ability to project Princess Leia saying, “Help me, Obi-Wan. You’re my only hope” soon? It does need more beeps and boops for my liking, though.
Hope we get to see more Winter Olympics bots throughout the games.
