Houston’s Corey Davis suffered the pain of March on Saturday night when Michigan’s Jordan Poole hit the buzzer-beating three over his head to win, 64-63.
Michigan’s Mo Wagner stopped his celebration to comfort Houston’s Corey Davis
Pure class.

All Davis could do was stand on the sideline stunned while the Wolverines celebrated on the court, blaming himself for what went wrong. Michigan’s Mo Wagner noticed, and interrupted his celebration to come over and commiserate with his opponent.
It didn’t stop the Cougars guard from beating himself up, but it showed grace in a hard-fought game that was brutal on both sides. These moments happen. It’s what makes March so special, but it didn’t mean it hurt any less.
Perhaps the most upsetting thing about all this is that it was Davis’ lock-down D that gave Houston a chance to win in the first place. But big time shots happen and there was nothing he could do.
Houston will be back.
