I love this crime scene analogy. It’s perfect. It’s like Chuck is a hard-boiled noir detective trying to find a killer and all his leads are coming up blank. This shot was taken before the night games too, meaning Chuck had even more busts (Xavier and UNC both lost).
There’s something about putting a busted bracket on a giant board on TV that really punctuates the sadness. In an age of massive high-def touch screens I really appreciate the low-fi, “poster board taped to a white board” look that CBS went with.
We love you, Chuck. Even though your bracket was trash.
