New Zealand made their own LeBron James billboard to lure him down under

The New Zealand Breakers of the NBL are throwing their hat in the ring in the hopes of landing LeBron James and their pitch is pretty familiar:

I love the moxie, and I’m here for it — but there are a couple of problems.

  1. James makes $30 million a season.
  2. The NBL salary cap is $1M Australian.
  3. The NZ Breakers would be $29.9M into luxury tax if they signed James.
  4. The entire league sold for $7M in 2015.

So just a few speed bumps, all things considered. That said, I am HERE for LeBron James and Steven Adams obliterating the entire balance of Australasia’s basketball league.
