Markelle Fultz got a standing ovation in his first game with the 76ers
Welcome back!

Markelle Fultz is back on the court for the Sixers and Philly fans couldn’t be happier.
The fans at the Wells Fargo Center greeted Fultz with a standing ovation as he entered the game late in the first quarter. It was his first time in an NBA game in five months. Fultz had not played for the Sixers since Oct. 23 due to a shoulder injury and had to relearn how to shoot.
His start could have better, however as his first jump shot turned out to be an air ball.
Now that the Sixers have clinched a playoff spot and got their star rookie back, they should be considered a threat in the Eastern Conference. A young squad like that without Fultz was scary enough for the other teams in the association. They’re not the favorites, but they’re the team no one wants to play in the postseason. Adding Fultz only makes it worse for the rest of the East.
Before Fultz’s return Monday, he had played only four games this season averaging 11.4 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 3.3 assists per game. In his return tonight he had 10 points, 8 assists and shot 5-of-13 from the field.
