Indoor lacrosse was treated to one of the best penalty calls of all time when NLL referee Todd Labranche took to the mic to explain why he was sending two players to the box during a game between the Vancouver Stealth and Colorado Mammoth.

Labranche is the ultimate Dad Ref. A guy who can handle a tense athletic situation with the stern voice of a dad whose kids are goofing around.
We never got to find out what problems Chris O’Dougherty and Zack Greer had with each other — but hopefully they used those two minutes to think about what they did. Dad Ref told them to, and Dad Ref’s word is bond.
Naturally people are loving this call.
