Vladimir Guerrero Jr. hit a walk-off home run in the Expos’ old stadium while wearing dad’s No. 27
You can’t write this stuff.

Baseball magic is already happening, and it’s unfolding in the best way.
On Tuesday, the Toronto Blue Jays took on the St. Louis Cardinals in their final exhibition game before the start of the regular season. They played in Olympic Stadium in Montreal where the Expos used to play. Incoming Hall of Famer Vladimir Guerrero used to play in that same stadium and now his son Vladimir Guerrero Jr. has as well.
Because you really can’t write a script better than this, Vladimir Guerrero Jr. hit a walk-off home run to win the game for the Blue Jays. He’s even wearing the familiar No. 27 that his dad wore.
Same name, same number, same stadium, even the same swing — only decades apart.
And it gets even better! Vladimir Sr. was there to witness it all, and he managed to record all of it on his phone. Here’s dad’s view of the walk-off victory. Dad must be incredibly proud of his son.
Baseball works in mysterious ways, and we love every minute of it.
