Normally it’s the home team who gets all the fanfare when it comes to NBA introductions, but the Sacramento Kings had a special surprise for the Jazz when they came to town.
The Kings pranked the Jazz’s starting lineup intro with the help of Sexy Sax Man
This was the world’s sexiest introduction.

The team were played onto the court by Sergio Flores, better known as “Sexy Sax Man,” who has made a name for himself by his shirtless playing of George Michael’s “Careless Whisper” as a prank.
Since saxophones are used in Jazz the Kings brought him out, and introduced the away team with the least enthusiastic announcing ever — all accompanied by the slightly off-key stylings of Sexy Sax Man.
This is a seriously deep cut. The Sexy Sax Man meme dates back to 2011, when the video of him playing “Careless Whisper” in a variety of locations went viral. Now it has over 36 million views on YouTube.
But nothing really compares to seeing a shirtless saxophonist get towed into a basketball arena by a tricycle-riding mascot.
This obviously isn’t jazz — but nonetheless I appreciate adding pizzazz to opponent introductions. I think this could become a worthwhile addition to NBA culture.
