Hero Celtics fan protects his beer from an incoming Jayson Tatum
Those beers are expensive!
When you spend at least $10 on a beer at an arena, you better make sure you don’t spill it. This Celtics fan almost experienced the agony of spilled beer, had Jasyon Tatum not moved.
As Tatum and Tony Snell ran towards him, the fan at the TD Garden seemed to have slowed down on his way to his seat in order to bear the collision that was about to happen. Luckily, Tatum adjusted himself just enough to where he didn’t make contact with the beer. The fan’s back took most of the impact.
Yeah, his drink has a top on it but that doesn’t make this situation any less stressful. If anything, direct contact with that beer would’ve made the cup erupt and the beverage would have had a slightly larger trajectory. You can tell that the beer spilled ever so slightly when contact was first made, too.
Not only was his beer going to spill, but Tatum probably would’ve tackled him to the seat where his buddy was. Oh and, he’d have to fork over some more money for a replacement beer.
