In December 2017, a fan had a simple request: He wanted Washington to keep Kirk Cousins, no matter what. The desire was so deep that he wrote a letter to owner Dan Snyder to implore the team to keep their quarterback. Finally, after four months, he got this in the mail.
Dan Snyder sent an autographed photo of himself to a fan imploring him to keep Kirk Cousins
This is surprisingly hilarious.
Yes, that’s an awkward autographed photo of Synder standing in front of a portrait background. Honestly, I don’t like Snyder — but I love this. The awareness (or lack thereof) is utterly astounding and this might be the first humorous thing he’s ever done.
The comments on the Reddit post seem to feel the same way:
“Ok i know he’s the worst but that is an objectively hilarious thing to do”
“lmao this actually makes me kinda like snyder. this is hilarious.”
“Burn it. It might be a horcrux”
“Hahahha I could see him doing it on purpose and giggling as he put it in the mailbox”
“Send it back with an autographed photo of yourself.”
“I’m fascinated by this. Why did he go with the full body shot? Why no Redskins gear in the picture? A logo, a football, something, anything? Just... Dan Snyder, alone in a room.”
“we truly have the Michael Scott of owners. Now i’m imagining the front office as.... the office...”
This photo makes no sense. It also makes ALL the sense and perfectly encapsulates Dan Snyder.
