UCLA pulled off one of the most astounding come-from-behinds win in sports on Saturday night when gymnast Christine ‘Peng Peng’ Lee went ham in the final two rotations with back-to-back 10.0s. Her performance vaulted UCLA from fifth place to first, passing Oklahoma on the way to a National Championship.

This was something else.

UCLA were good all competition, but athletes admitted they started slow. This meant UCLA needed huge performances on the back-end of their rotation to have a chance, and when Lee took to the uneven bars it was clear she was ready to deliver.
You could cut the air with a knife when it came time for Lee to take the balance beam in her final rotation. The UCLA anchor needed to score 9.975 to win the championship for the school and what followed was astounding.
Another perfect 10.0, which gave UCLA the National Championship by an astounding 0.0375 points. It was Lee’s most clutch performance in her final college event at the end of her career, and came through when it counted.
When it was all over she was at a loss for words.
Simply incredible.
