This kid’s slow-mo run to home plate is a piece of baseball art

Slow Motion Kid is the future baseball star the world needs.

James Dator has been covering a wide range of sports for SB Nation for over a decade, with a special focus on the NFL.

All I want in this world is for this kid to become a baseball superstar so we can see his theatrics in Major League Baseball someday.

I love this kid’s adherence to the bit. When I was his age, I would have done the slow motion thing for about 10 steps and when the adult stepped in I would have gotten sheepish and trotted home. Not this champion. He wanted to slow mo all the way to the plate and nothing was going to stop him — then he does a flop/tactical roll when he gets home just to rub it all in.

This kid is great and I cant wait to see him flourish before being plinked by a pitch for disrespecting the game.
