The Moto GP in Argentina had the weirdest starting grid

This is something else.

The Argentina GP had a starting grid unlike anything you’ve seen before.

Rain was forecast for the race, causing teams to switch to their slick tires to combat it. However, when the track began to dry after a rain delay it caused chaos. 23 other riders elected to take a penalty pit stop, and return to the garage to put on ordinary tires — while Australia’s Jack Miller risked staying on his slicks.

The result was the entire field being sent to the back of the grid, while Miller found himself alone at the front with three empty rows behind him. Miller went on to finish fourth.
