Canadian singer-songwriter and music producer Mac Demarco put together a song at the Met Gala on Monday that had a simple message: “Fuck the Toronto Raptors.”
A Canadian musician recorded a song called ‘F*** the Toronto Raptors’ at the Met Gala
A song with a message.

It’s unclear why the Edmonton native has so much beef with the Raptors, but the song was purported to have been recorded on the red carpet before being unveiled at the Met Gala. The lyrics are really deep, if you think about it.
“Fuck the Toronto Raptors. Fuck the Toronto Raptors. Fuck the Toronto Raptors. Fuck the Toronto Raptors. Fuck the Toronto Raptors. Fuck the Toronto Raptors. Fuck the Toronto Raptors. Fuck the Toronto Raptors. Fuck the Toronto Raptors. Fuck the Toronto Raptors. Fuck the Toronto Raptors. Fuck the Toronto Raptors. Fuck the Toronto Raptors. Fuck the Toronto Raptors. Fuck the Toronto Raptors. Fuck the Toronto Raptors. Fuck the Toronto Raptors.”
Me, a heathen: “This sounds like an auto-tuned mess. People actually like this?”
Stereogum, intellectuals: “Instead, they’re warm, woozy, R&B-influenced things, full of lightly funky synth-bass and DeMarco cooing through Auto-Tune.”
I like a song with a message though, and this one is loud and clear.
