England fans had a rager at Ikea after beating Sweden in the World Cup

PARTY AT THE IKEA!

Dozens of England fans invaded an Ikea in west London after their team’s victory over Sweden in the World Cup, and they weren’t looking for a BILLY bookcase or a UTÅKER futon.

Since Sweden is still best identified with modular entry-level furniture, it’s only natural that England fans would try to rub it in their face, or something. Honestly, I don’t really get why you’d invade an Ikea vs, like, going to a pub and just drinking — but I’m not an excited England fan.

“When they tell you the coupon is still good.”

Ikea, to its credit, took the whole thing in stride.

I just love the mental image of Ikea thrusting £1 at British people in the hopes they’ll leave their home goods emporium untouched.
