Braves Vs. Giants, NLDS Game 3: Jason Heyward Shaken Up Attempting Catch Against Wall

Here's a potentially scary moment for the Braves. Jason Heyward struck out in the first inning, and is now 0-9 in the series. As if that weren't bad enough, Heyward went back to the track to attempt to catch a long Mike Fontenot drive in the second, and as he reached for the ball, his right wrist bent against the wall and the ball bounced out.

Fontenot raced around the bases for a triple, and Heyward collapsed on his stomach. Bobby Cox and a trainer came out to check on him, and after an extended conversation Heyward is remaining in the game, but he may now have to deal with wrist soreness for the remainder of the series. Not what you want to see from a big bat who’s already having trouble finding a groove.
