Giants Vs. Phillies, NLCS Game 1: Brad Lidge Escapes Jam In Ninth

The ninth inning was very nearly a disaster for the Phillies. Charlie Manuel went to Brad Lidge to keep the Giants off the board, and Lidge was on the brink of caving in. After striking out Juan Uribe to lead off, a single, a walk, and a hit batsman loaded the bases. But Lidge was able to strike out Andres Torres on a low slider, and Freddy Sanchez then flew out to center to end the threat.

The score remains 4-3, and Brian Wilson will return to the mound to try and close this out.
