World Series Game 2: Giants Run Out Identical Starting Lineup

In Wednesday night's Game 1, the Giants didn't only beat the Rangers - they beat the Rangers by scoring 11 runs and hitting the crap out of ace starter Cliff Lee. Lee was knocked out in the fifth inning, and the Giants didn't even slow down there, scoring another three times in the eighth.

In all, the Giants collected 14 hits, with a homer and six doubles. And they also drew a walk and saw two guys get beaned. Throw in errors by Michael Young and Elvis Andrus and the Giants put 19 men on base in eight innings in what was supposed to be the pitching matchup of the year.

That's a hell of an explosion, so it should come as no surprise at all that the Giants are running out an identical lineup in Thursday's Game 2. Aubrey Huff's still batting sixth against a lefty. Juan Uribe's still playing third over Pablo Sandoval. Edgar Renteria's still playing shortstop. If it works, why not use it until it doesn't?

Andres Torres, CF
Freddy Sanchez, 2B
Buster Posey, C
Pat Burrell, LF
Cody Ross, RF
Aubrey Huff, 1B
Juan Uribe, 3B
Edgar Renteria, SS
Matt Cain, SP
