Houston Astros Believe Everything Should Be Bigger In Texas

Minute Maid Park, where the Houston Astros have been playing since 2000, is about to get a facelift. In addition to general renovations, they will be installing a new video board measuring 54 feet by 124 feet, making their screen the second largest in Major League Baseball (Kansas City still has 'em beat).
As we all know, this kind of thing doesn’t come cheap, and the Astros are expecting to pay somewhere in the ballpark (so sue me) of $10 to $12 million for their new video board and other additions, and it will sit above right field where the current scoreboard stands.
While it all sounds super impressive and will certainly make the Astros feel very manly, they still won’t quite match the ridiculousness that is the mega-screen at Cowboys Stadium. The rule-changing video screen that Jerry built is 72 feet by 180 feet. I bet that screen has to wear boxers.
I doubt the Astros will need to redo any plays when the ball hits their new screen. In fact, I’m sure they would be quite excited to do so.
