You might remember the video that made the rounds a couple of weeks ago - three-year-old Rangers fan Gavin Justice bawling after his parents told him the Rangers were trading Michael Young. Well, little Gavin recently got to meet his hero. Blogger Evan Grant:

↵↵Young and his wife met the family at the Rangers store, but Gavin was initially unimpressed. He had been told he’d be meeting Michael Young and Michael Young wears a baseball uniform. The man in front of him was in street clothes.

Sorry, but I have to ask ... Are there really three-year-olds who care about individual baseball players? I think I must have been five or six before I knew the name of even a single athlete (Fran Tarkenton), and seven or eight before I could identify a baseball player (Dick Allen). Now, if the Royals had traded George Brett when I was 10 or 11 ... then, I might have blubbered like a hungry baby seal.
