↵The Rangers will go with eight relievers. They traded Treanor to give them an extra arm in the bullpen to make up for Ogando's absence.

Obviously, this looks a little strange since Ogando's been exclusively a reliever since converting from the outfield to pitching in 2006, and has never thrown more than 72 innings in a professional season. But the Rangers are apparently set on leaving Neftali Feliz in the bullpen, and Ogando doesn't figure to spend more than a month or two in the rotation, assuming Tommy Hunter comes back from his groin injury as expected.
