CC Sabathia has saved the Yankees many times and he’ll be asked to win Game 4 of the ALCS to keep New York’s season afloat.
Sabathia vs Scherzer: Yankees Tigers ALCS betting preview
You almost never get such a great price on CC Sabathia, but the Yankee ace is getting lots of attention in Game 4 of the ALCS. The Tigers can clinch and advance to the World Series with a win and send Max Scherzer.

If not, it will be the last time to bet on the Yankees in 2012, other than some prop bets on whether Alex Rodriguez will get traded or if Joe Girardi will get fired.
“The Yanks have won the past five Sabathia starts and he beat the Tigers three times in 2012, so we expect steady action on New York,” said Kevin Bradley of Bovada.
”It’s rare you see CC at a pickem line so we expect, by game time, that we will need Detroit from a bookmaking perspective, but Detroit getting to the World Series is a bad result for our baseball futures exposure.”
In the other Wednesday option for baseball bettors, the Cardinals host the Giants with Kyle Lohse firing for St. Louis against Matt Cain. The Giants are 9-3 in Cain’s past dozen starts, but he was a +111 road underdog as of Wednesday morning at Bovada.
St. Louis, meanwhile, has lost four of seven Lohse starts at the tail end of an excelllent season for the righty. Watch for some retaliatory fireworks in this one if the game gets out of hand, after Matt Holliday crashed Marco Scutaro on the basepaths in Game 2.
The series is deadlocked 1-1.
