The Miami Marlins' revival is a nice story on its face, but even to someone who doesn't follow baseball (me), it may seem like it's coming out of left field (BOOM). The Marlins are the franchise with a perpetually empty stadium that's constantly cutting payroll; suddenly they're outspending everyone in free agency and building a brand new stadium with a hallucinogenic home run celebration?
