Chalk bettors continued to rake in the profits Monday, after only two MLB underdogs won in 11 tries.

Arizona and Pittsburgh both won as road underdogs, and San Diego lost as a tiny home favorite against the Brewers. The rest of the day went to favorite bettors, whose profit in early-season wagering has been staggering.
“The nice thing for favorite bettors is that most of them are not priced too high - we are seeing -115, -125 and -135 faves win regularly,” said Mike Pickett of OddsShark.com. “It limits the risk, except in games like the Angels win where they were big -230 chalk, and thereby increases profit in the long run.”
Among Tuesday's tempting MLB underdogs are the Phillies at Atlanta with Cole Hamels throwing and the Dodgers at Colorado.
Tuesday also sees four games with sub-7 over-unders, a rarity on a day with no staff aces throwing. Two games have a total of six and two more are 6.5.
“That is also a continuation of this month-long trend towards low totals and low-scoring games,” said Pickett.
