Underdogs had one of their best days we can remember Thursday, winning 11 of 15 games outright and making a hefty $1,040, based upon theoretical $100 bets.

In other words, if you wagered $100 on every baseball underdog Thursday, you were up $1,040 at the end of the day.

The dog brigade was once again led by the Minnesota Twins, who won at Detroit at a price of +205 against Doug Fister. Minnesota also beat the Tigers Wednesday, sweeping that two-game series and making $370 in the process, while Detroit cost its backers $390.

Also scoring as dogs were the Oakland Athletics, winning in extra innings at Texas while getting +160; the Chicago White Sox, who beat CJ Wilson and the Angles in Anaheim getting +140; and the Pittsburgh Pirates, who won at Washington also getting +140.

Underdogs went 9-6 on Wednesday. So over the last two days they're 20-10.

MLB 'over/unders' split yesterday at 7-7-1, but interestingly they went 6-2 in the National League but 1-5-1 in the American League.

Interleague play hits the betting board this weekend. Among the more intriguing matchups for Friday Cole Hamels and the Phillies are -145 home favorites over the Red Sox; Edwin Jackson and the Nationals are -120 home chalk over the Orioles; and Andy Pettitte and the Yankees are favored by -135 at home over the Reds.

Finally, in the lone non-interleague series Ted Lilly and the NL West-leading Dodgers are +115 home dogs vs. Lance Lynn and the NL Central-leading Cardinals.

Here's a quick look at Friday's baseball betting action, with MLB oddss available daily at SB Nation.
