When Adrian Beltre Calls For A Fly Ball, You Best Back Off

Bill Hanstock

It is well-known that in the world of animated baseball GIFs, Adrian Beltre is the gift that keeps on giving. The talented third baseman drops to his knee when hitting home runs, occasionally makes notable plays in the field and hates, hates, hates having his head touched.

Carson Cistulli of FanGraphs has given us the latest installment in the tremendous Beltre GIF oeuvre, which you can see after the jump.

This was in the eighth inning of Friday night's game between the Texas Rangers and the Houston Astros. Carlos Lee hit a pop fly and Adrian Beltre said he's got it. What the hell are you doing Elvis Andrus he said he's got it.

I’m not saying that Andrus should watch his back, but if Beltre were Colonel Jessup, he would have already ordered the Code Red. If you catch my drift.
