Pitch Please: Snoop Dogg Brings The Heat

On Thursday evening, the game at U.S. Cellular Field between the Chicago White Sox and the Minnesota Twins will have a much different feel than the previous two games in the series. You could say that the teams will be... laid back.

Aaron Gleeman of HardballTalk reports that none other than Snoop Dogg will be tossing out the ceremonial first pitch before Thursday night’s game. This is certainly not the first time Snoop has thrown out a first pitch at a ball game, but I believe it is the first time he has done so in Chicago. I’m not certain, though. I betta’ ask somebody.

Hopefully Snoop doesn’t embarrass himself with a poor throw, like some other celebs have done. But If he does, he can blame the pitch on a bad call from the catcher. Perhaps he’ll claim, “Slider was the pitch that they gave me.”

Luckily, no batter stands in for the ceremonial first pitch, unlike in Japan. That’s a very good thing. You’d be preparing for a nice ceremonial first pitch and next thing you know, Snoop’s upside ya head.
