When Thursday's baseball games went OVER the total, they went way OVER the total.
Four of the seven games saw at least 16 runs scored. The Padres beat the Mets 11-5, the Giants exploded late to beat the Marlins 14-7, the Phillies held off the Cardinals 10-9, and the White Sox defeated the Twins 11-8.
The other three games stayed UNDER the number posted by most sportsbooks.
Underdogs also made some bankroll headway Thursday, winning four of the seven games to come out $240 ahead, based on theoretical $100 wagers. The Cleveland Indians led the way, beating Justin Verlander and the Detroit Tigers 2-1, while getting +155 as home dogs.

Friday's early consensus betting saw the Rays at Boston as the most one-sided action (nearly 70 percent on Tampa Bay, according to the OddsShark MLB Consensus picks).
The Tigers and Yankees were also getting a lot of action, as road favorites in Minnesota and Oakland, respectively.
