So over the course of the last three days, baseball faves are 35-11 in 46 games.
The biggest favorite on Monday's board came through, and without its biggest basher. Texas gave Josh Hamilton the night off and still beat Seattle 4-2 as -200 chalk. The Rangers also managed to cover on the run line at a price of right around +100.
Other winners on Monday included Lance Lynn and the Cardinals, who while getting +110 as road dogs, handed the Braves their eighth-straight loss 8-2; Carlos Zambrano and the Marlins, who as -110 favorites, beat Washington 5-3; the Phillies and Cole Hamels, who as -135 road chalk, beat the Mets 8-4; Felix Doubront and the Red Sox, who while giving -125, defeated Detroit 7-4; and the Angels, who as -135 favorites, lost starter Jered Weaver early in the game to a sore back but got a game-winning homer from Mark Trumbo in the bottom of the ninth to beat the Yankees 9-8.
Baseball's betting totals leaned toward the 'overs' Monday by a 9-6 margin. That makes five out of the last six days more games have played 'over' their numbers than under.
